Bear Week Provincetown 2016

Because Bear Week is very popular with Bears from the Mid-Atlantic region, we are including it here.

EVENT DATES: July 9 – 17, 2016.

Provincetown Bears hosts 9 days and nights of pool parties, beach outings, dance parties and leather events. Join thousands of bears for vacation fun at the tip of Cape Cod!

DAILY EVENTS DURING BEAR WEEK PTOWN
Bear Week Info Booth 11am – 4pm at Firehouse 3 (256 Commercial St.) for Ptown Bears
T-shirts and hats, picking up registrations, and buying wrist band tickets for the Firemen’s Ball and Uniform Ball.

Pools:
Bear Week Host Hotel pools are open to the public with food and bar service. (Lounge chair fees may apply at some locations.)
Boatslip Resort, 161 Commercial St.
Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial St.
Harbor Hotel, 698 Commercial St. (far East End)
Provincetown Inn, 1 Commercial St. (far West End)

Beach: Herring Cove Beach at the Cape Cod National Seashore is the famous gay beach. Transit: bike (2 miles = 3.2km), car (parking fees), taxi or Shuttle Bus. Bears gather at the traditional men’s beach area 35 minutes walk south of the Herring Cove bathhouse.

Pre-Tea: 3pm – 6pm, daily special themes at the Monkey Bar, 149 Commercial St.

Tea Dance, 4pm – 7pm, Boatslip Resort, 161 Commercial St. Themes: Monday: Kilts; Tuesday: Bears of the World (International Provincetown Bears Day – wear items representing your bear club, city, state or country); Wednesday: Sarong; Thursday: Solid Gold Disco

Late Night Block Party 1am – 2am, Spiritus Pizza, 190 Commercial St.

Dance parties at the nightclubs are detailed on the daily schedule, as well as daily social events.

Event details and DJ names will be added and edited with as the year progresses.

10:15am – meet at Central Bus Terminal, Ryder St. adjacent to MacMillan Wharf.
A half-day bus tour to the Edward Gorey House museum and Yarmouthport, lunch included.
