There has been a lot of new activity for Bears planned for 2016 in DC and surrounding areas. Let’s take a quick look at New Gay Bear Events and Venues in Washington DC – January 2016.
UPROAR – This newly opened bar near 7th St & Florida Ave NW bills itself as “DC’s Newest Bear Bar.” UPROAR opened January 21st as the first flakes of Snowzilla started to fall. I’ve spoken with Chad, the owner, and he wants to work with other events and Bear groups in DC to compliment current events. A narrow bar and restaurant with two floors and outside patio, UPROAR is holding a Bear Happy Hour tonight at 5:00 pm to continue to introduce themselves to the community.
Woof Den Sports Bar – The bar below the adult shop Bite the Fruit (formerly The Leather Rack) has been rebranded and opened as a new sports bar with pool. I haven’t found much information on what they have planned but they are reaching out to the Bear community.
The Celtic House Irish Pub & Restaurant – Recent Growlr Shout!s have announced an Arlington Bear Happy Hour on Friday, January 29. Check it out.
